We sell valves and fittings in (AISI) 304 Series Stainless Steel, commonly recommended for food contact surfaces is also termed 18/8 indicating that it is 18% Cr and 8% Ni. Or in Sanitary Standards require 316 (or 18/10) stainless steel for most surfaces
Butterfly valves in their standard form, are fitted with handles which provide a firm grip,self-locking and available in different positions handle are also available.
In addition nyvalves butterfly valves can be fitted with either pneumatic or electric actuators.
Valve open or closed position is indicated by either mechanical or proximity switch.
Pneumatic actuators can also be fitted with electronic positioning.
Association for Technical Inspections (TUV) test certificates can be supplied for all components parts of each type of nyvalves butterfly valve.
MATERIAL
All valve product contact parts are manufactured from stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) or 1.4404 (AISI 316L), as requested.
Butterfly valves are available with seals of various materials as EPDM, MVQ, FKM, According to FDA regulations. NBR and CSM seals are also available.
SURFACE
Our electropolished polishing techniques produce a clean-cut surface others produce a damaged surface containing micro-cavities, tears and laps which can be difficult to clean. So we supply under standard EN 10088-2: 1995 calls for "transverse Ra <1.2 mm with a clean-cut surface".
Electro-polishing can typically reduce the roughness by half by reducing peaks and rounding them off, and a similar effect can be achieved on stainless steels by new post-rolling brushing processes which leave a super-smooth surface that can often be cleaned without physically- or chemically-aggressive detergents.
CONNECTIONS
The most common port connection as Clamp,As per DIN 11887 liner or male or fitting with flange ,welding or thread DIN 11851.
OPERATION CONDITIONS
Butterfly valves, sizes DN25-150 (1" - 4") are designed for maximum operating pressure of 10 bar (150 psi).
Maximum operating temperature depends on seal quality and product.
